Implants & Veneers
Dental Veneers
Customised tooth shells placed over the front surfaces of the teeth. They are usually used as part of a cosmetic dental treatment to treat discoloured, broken, misaligned or spaced teeth to improve the appearance of the teeth and give a better smile. Dental veneers can be made of dental porcelain or resin based composites.
Porcelain veneers are made in a dental laboratory and requires multiple visits. They are considered stronger and last longer than resin based composite veneers.
Resin composite veneers involve placement of the veneer over the front surface of the teeth. The treatment might be completed in a single visit. Your dentist will be able to advise you which option is better for you.
Dental Implant
Artificial tooth roots are used to support the replacement of a missing tooth. Dental implants are usually made of titanium. The treatment has a relatively high success rate. It involves careful planning, followed by the surgical stage which is the placement of the implant in the jaw. The crown is then placed on top of the dental implant.
Dental implants are very useful to support a denture and make it more stable in your mouth. Your dentist is able to advise you about your suitability to receive dental implants to replace your missing teeth or support your denture.
