Specialist Care Dentistry

Our Special Care Dentistry service helps to improve the oral health of people who have a physical, sensory, learning, mental, medical, emotional or social impairment or disability, or a combination of these factors. 

We offer oral health care for people who would struggle to access treatment from general dental services. We have facilities for wheelchair users and bariatric patients as well as offering conscious sedation. We can also, where necessary, provide home visits for those who are unable to attend a community dental appointment. 

To access the service, you must be referred in by a health professional.

Following a course of treatment with our service the majority of patients will be discharged back into the general dental service.
